Adam Gilchrist has born on November 14,1971,Bellingen, in New South Wales. Adam Gilchrist has captained Australia, Deccan Chargers, Middlesex and  Kings XI Punjab. He is the Youngest of four children. Stan and June are the parents of Adam Gilchrist.

Gilchrist married his high school lover Melinda and they have three sons, Harrison, Archie and Ted, and they have a daughter Annie Jean. Adam Gilchrist is the one of the talented attacking left-handed batsman in the World. Gilchrist has given great contribution for Australian Cricket team. Adam Gilchrist holds the World record for the most dismissals by a Wicket-Keeper in One Day International Cricket and by an Australian in Test Cricket. Adam Gilchrist has highest strike rate in  the history of both ODI and Test Cricket.

Adam Gilchrist is the only batsman to have won 100 sixes in Test Cricket. Gilchrist played his first One-Day International against India in 1996 and Gilchrist Test appearance was in 1999. Adam Gilchrist was the captain and the vice-captain of Australian Cricket team .Adam Gilchrist retired from International Cricket in March 2008. Gilchrist has also played in Caribbean Premier League( A Twenty20 tournament in West Indies).
