There is a big speciality for this Test match, Virat Kohli lead the Indian team against Australia in Sydney. Dhoni announced his retirement from Test international Cricket after third Test match against Australia.

Another speciality is, Australian Cricketer Phillip Hughes dead in Sydney Cricket ground, Fourth Test match is in Sydney Cricket ground.

When Phillip was dead in Sydney Cricket ground, David Warner, Shane Watson, Brad Haddin, Mitchell Starc and Nathan Lyon was there, So they will be very disappointed to play here.

Last Test Cricket match between India and Australia starts today in Sydney. After retirement of MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli is going to lead Indian Test Cricket team. Australia had won first and second Test match against India and third Test ended as tie.

There are also some problem in bowling side. Ishant Sharma bowled in three Tests and India has to again depend on Ishant Sharma in fourth Test match against Australia in Sydney.

India's main fast bowler Ishant bowled 125 overs in three Tests matches. India may consider another spin bowler except R Ashwin for fourth Test match, Because the pitch may help spin bowlers day by day. Axar Patel and Karn Sharma consider for this. Australia also include another spin bowler except Nathan Lyon for fourth Test match against India.

On 8 December 2014, Australia won the first Test match for 48 runs against India in Adelaide. Australia also won second Test match for four wickets against India in Woolloongabba, Brisbane on 16 December 2014.

On 25 December 2014, The third Test match between India and Australia ended as Tie, The third Test match was in Melbourne.

India has played 10 Test matches in Sydney Cricket ground, But India won only one Test match here in 1978.
