The Inaugural match of African U-17 Championship is between Niger and Nigeria in Niamey on 15 February 2015. There are two groups in 2015 African U-17 Championship, Group A and Group B, Details of Groups are given below. All matches of the tournament will be in Niamey.
On 27 April 2013, Ivory Coast won the last African U-17 Championship against Nigeria in penalty shootout for 5-4 score in Stade de Marrakech. This match was under Mali referee Mahamadou Keita, Ivory Coast played against Morocco in Semi-final match and they won the match for 1-2 and Morocco held the fourth place in 2013 African U-17 Championship.
16th edition of 2015 African U-17 Championship is hosted in Niger during the period of 15 February 2015 and 1 March 2015. The African U-17 Championship is organised by Confederation of African Football. Participate 8 teams from 1 confederation in the tournament. The Semi-finalist of the 2015 African U-17 Championship will get chance to play in 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup.
