Shahid Afridi wants to retire from ODIs after 2015 Cricket World Cup

Pakistan all rounder and T20 international team captain Shahid Afridi wants to retire from ODI (One Day International) Cricket after the 2015 World Cup. Shahid Afridi decided to retire after the coming 2015 World Cup. Shahid Afridi has a big position in Pakistan international team because of his talents in batting and leg spin.

Shahid Afridi also told that he would concentrate only in T20 matches after his retirement. Afridi was the captain of Pakistan team in last ODI match against New Zealand. Afridi also told that it is good time to retire from ODI Cricket.

Afridi has showed his skill in batting and bowling for Pakistan many times. From 389 ODI matches Afridi has scored  7870 runs for Pakistan. Afridi's ODI debut was against Kenya on October 1996. Afridi scored fastest century in One Day International Cricket in his 2nd match.

In World Cup 2011, Afridi was the captain of Pakistan Cricket team. Afridi Test debut was against Australia on 22 October 1998.

Afridi has played in  389 One Day International Cricket matches for Pakistan. Afridi has 6 century and 38 half-century in ODI Cricket. Afridi also took 391 wickets for Pakistan.

Shahid Afridi was holding the record of fastest century scored player in ODI for 17 years. He achieved this record his ODI debut, Afridi took only 37 balls to score 100. This record was broken by New Zealand batsman Corey Anderson on 1 January 2014, Anderson only took 36 balls to score 100.

On 13 July 2010, Afridi retired from international Test Cricket, The match was against Australia. Shahid Afridi was the captain of Pakistan team in 2011 World Cup, Afridi tried his best to reach in World Cup final, But they lost the match in semi-final against India.

Afridi's main problem is fitness. So Afridi wants to retire from ODI Cricket, He is just 35 old.
